Munsha | Konzert
„““ Munsha is an italian singer, cellist, composer, sound designer and performer.
She began to study classic music playing piano, continuing her musical career as cellist and singer. During this period, she started to explore unconventional musical forms influenced by Luciano Berio, Salvatore Sciarrino, John Cage, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Cathy Berberian.
Since the 2003 Munsha merges her vocal phrasing with electronic music; she focuses her production on different sound expressions creating an own musical language in which the electronic composition meets experimental and avant-garde.
Her sound has no conventions. The rules cease to be and time and space lose themselves in a mixture of noise, minimalistic textures and rhythmic structures. The vocal extended technique and the sound research bring the audience in a „ricochet“ project: a ball that bounces from extreme vocalism to minimal ambience, concrete sounds and electro industrial, deeply influenced by Blixa Bargeld, Mike Patton, Demetrio Stratos, Björk, Trent Reznor, Meredith Monk. „““
