My Environment, The Old and The New
The exhibition is a part of a three step creative project about changing, re-building and finding inspiration in your old and current environment. The final event takes place as an exhibition at Gelegenheiten.
The Icelandic based artist Sigrün Erna in Berlin on a art residency to outsource where inspiration comes from, and how much part your environmental experiences takes in it.
Sigrün Erna Sigurðardóttir is an Icelandic artist living in Reykjavík. She is a visual artist working with drawing, painting, textile and photography.
“It’s about researching the artist’s environment in two parts. First to reflect on things they know from their environment, country, people and nature, and using it collectively as inspiration.”
