Tuomas Palonen
Tuomas Palonen is a singer-songwriter from Helsinki. His eponymous solo debut (2018) is a love letter to the psychedelic era with flavours from the rich Finnish soil of folklore and folk music. Fittingly, Palonen is a folklorist by training. Rory Lavelle
Rory Lavelle is a Canadian singer-songwriter currently based in Berlin. His lyrical piano ballads have evoked comparisons to 70s troubadours like Randy Newman and Tom Waits. His debut EP ‘Just Watch TV and Worry’ was released on November 8th, 2016, on the eve of Trump’s election. 2017 saw the release of the ‘Cassini’ EP, a space-themed psychedelic song cycle about our precarious planetary situation. His latest effort, the 12-song LP ‘CUL-DE-SAC’, was recorded at Berlin’s renowned Funkhaus studios, and marks his first release since moving to Berlin a year ago.
