Fezayafirar is an experimental and improvised electronic music project formed in 2013 and consists of two brothers and musicians based in Istanbul and Zürich. Taking its name from one of the first Turkish science-fiction novels, which translates as “retreat to outer space”, the duo’s sound ranges from ambient and drone to polyrhythmic soundscapes. Throughout their improvised and uncut sessions, they make use of a variety of sound sources ranging from ebass to modular synthesizers, samples and field recordings.
During their performance in Gelegenheiten, the duo will be accompanied by Frances Sander, a Prague based visual tag tool artist, who will be making live drawings that are projected onto the backdrop.
