Katharina Burchin sings and plays the guitar and keyboard. Along with MIDI controllers, a laptop and effects, she creates an acoustic underwater world characterized by a multilayered repertoire. In her music, melancholy works as a transmitter that makes the tension between meditative state and inner unrest tangible. Under the name Sad Mermaid, she has released the EP Gestures (2015) and the album Another Land (2017).

Katharina Burchin singt und spielt dazu Gitarre und Keyboard. Zusammen mit Midi-Controllern, einem Laptop und Effekten entsteht so eine musikalische Unterwasserwelt, die sich durch ein vielschichtiges Repertoire auszeichnet. Melancholie wirkt in ihrer Musik als Transmitter, der die Spannung zwischen meditativem Zustand und innerem Un-Frieden erfahrbar macht. Unter dem Namen Sad Mermaid veröffentlichte sie die EP (2015) Gestures und das Album Another Land (2017).
